These important diagnostic tests may indicate the presence of illness, infection, disease or pulmonary malfunction.

Currently, lists 215 Phlebotomist or Phlebotomy Technician positions available in Chicago, Illinois. With an aging population and more emphasis on preventative medicine, the demand will only grow in the coming years.

Necessary Training

An Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in any medical field is required for a Phlebotomist at most medical facilities. Additionally, Chicago phlebotomists will most likely need to pass a certification exam from the American Society for Clinical Pathologists.
